The clamp for the file is secure and the bearings make it glide across the ski bottom easily. I haven’t changed the bevel from 90 for my sharpening but I fiddled with it and expect it would work. This is much better than an older Swix edge tuner I had where the file clamping bolt striped the threads of the plastic it was in and the plastic knob broke off the bolt head.
